Basic Handgun Safety & Awareness Class
For the BEGINNER. Someone with LITTLE EXPERIENCE or as a REFRESHER. Someone that has taken a CCH Class with a insufficient Safety and Handling Presentation, Marksmanship Instruction and Firearms Qualification. You are not confident and feel that you do not know how to safely and properly handle a firearm.
This course provides Class Room Instruction. Involves Student Hands-On Training with Revolver or Semi Automatic Handgun and Live Fire on the Range.
We strongly recommend to learn the basic's first on the more Simple and Reliable Revolver.
A Semi Automatic Handgun can be instructed with a Personal Coaching Session at a later date if desired.
This course teaches the safe handing and firing of a handgun. Bringing the student to a safe and confident level for continued practice and training.
Class Subjects
- Basic Safety Rules in the Safe Handling of a Revolver or Semi Automatic Handgun.
- Responsibility of discharging a firearm.
- Identify the Basic Parts of a Revolver and Semi Automatic Handgun.
- Loading and how the Revolver and Semi Automatic Handgun function.
- Unload, clearing the action, making the weapon safe.
- Drills, loading and unloading weapon with training ammunition.
- Proper Stance.
- Proper Grip.
- Proper and Correct Sight Alignment and Sight Picture.
- Proper Trigger Control.
- Handling misfires and clearing malfunctions and jams.
- Live fire exercises on range under the direction of EXPERIENCED INSTRUCTORS. 50 rounds fired.
This course is 3.5 hours. We supply ear, eye protection and targets for this class.
The student is responsible for the firearm and ammunition. If the student does not own a handgun you can rent one of our rental guns for $10.00, Range Members $8.00 per gun. Ammunition sold separately. We can offer you a recommendation on the purchase of a Weapon. Handgun, Shotgun or Rifle.

Class Fee: $65.00. Pre registration is required.
Class Registration: Registration is a first come first serve basis as we receive registration forms either by mail or in person. Your registration must be received if by mail 5 business days prior to class date. Or Register in person during our regular business hours. Due to the growing problems with insufficient funds and canceled checks Handgunners Inc. will now only accept money orders via mail for any class pre registration . All pre registration forms and payment must be received five business days prior to pre scheduled class. We will contact you when we receive your registration and confirm you are registered for your class.
If you decide to change your class date after you have submitted your registration and we have acknowledged it there will be a $10.00 Transfer Fee for the next available class.
